Shepherd Spring Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate, organized, and dependable Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming experience for clients and their pets while helping ensure the hospital runs smoothly and efficiently.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, loves animals, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting clients and pets when they arrive at the clinic
  • Answering phone calls and responding to emails
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Maintaining patient records and updating medical files
  • Processing payments, invoices
  • Checking in and checking out patients
  • Explaining basic clinic procedures and policies
  • Coordinating communication between veterinarians, technicians, and pet owners
  • Managing waiting room flow and ensuring a calm environment

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Excellent customer service and communication
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Basic computer and scheduling software skills
  • Ability to handle stressful or emotional situations
  • Knowledge of animal care terminology (helpful but often learned on the job)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
