Veterinary Overnight Assistant - ICU

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 / hour

Are you looking to grow your veterinary career in a fast-paced emergency and specialty hospital? Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC) is seeking a dedicated ICU Veterinary Assistant to join our overnight team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in critical care while working alongside experienced veterinary professionals.

Schedule:
📍 Friday, Saturday & Sunday
🕖 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center is the trusted 24-hour partner to neighborhood veterinarians, providing advanced emergency and specialty care when primary care clinics are closed. Our team is equipped with cutting-edge technology and specialized expertise to deliver exceptional patient care around the clock.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Assist ICU Technicians with the care of hospitalized patients
Safely restrain patients for treatments and procedures
Monitor patient comfort, cleanliness, and overall well-being
Fill non-controlled medication prescriptions as directed
Document patient status and client communications using hospital software
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking throughout the ICU
Work independently and collaboratively to support high-quality patient care

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Basic computer skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Desire to learn and grow in veterinary medicine
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Animal handling experience is a plus
