We’re on the lookout for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our wonderful Greencross Cannington team!

About the Clinic

Our clinic is co‑located within a busy Petbarn retail store, giving us access to a highly engaged community of pet owners and a steady, diverse caseload. We’re well equipped and supported by a large, experienced team of vets and nurses, creating a great environment to utilise your skills, grow your confidence, and feel genuinely valued.

About your new role

This is a part‑time position, offering a great balance between work and life. Your day‑to‑day will include:

  • Delivering personalised, compassionate care to our patients and their owners
  • Caring for, handling, and cleaning animals
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene throughout the clinic, including surgical areas and equipment
  • Performing general nursing duties such as pre‑ and post‑operative care, pathology, anaesthetic monitoring, and assisting with emergency and critical care cases
  • Performing minor procedures when required
  • Reception duties, including being the first point of contact for clients, handling enquiries in person and over the phone, booking appointments, managing accounts, and admitting and discharging patients

About you

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
  • 2+ years’ experience in a veterinary nursing role
  • Excellent animal handling skills
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
  • Good organisational, communication, and customer service skills
  • A flexible, adaptable approach and enjoy working as part of a team
  • Experience with Rx Works (ideal but not essential)
