About the Role

This is a hands-on nursing role that offers variety, challenge, and the opportunity to utilise your skills every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking general nursing duties, including pre- and post-operative patient care
  • Assisting veterinarians during consultations and procedures
  • Surgical preparation and theatre assistance
  • Anaesthetic monitoring and patient recovery
  • Collecting and processing pathology samples
  • Medical nursing and hospital patient care
  • Assisting with minor procedures where required
  • Dental nursing and patient care
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene throughout the clinic, including surgical areas and equipment
  • Handling client enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Supporting reception and administrative duties when required
  • Contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic

This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys being actively involved in all aspects of veterinary nursing and who takes pride in delivering outstanding care to both patients and clients.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 2+ years' clinical veterinary nursing experience
  • Strong surgical nursing skills
  • Confidence in anaesthetic monitoring and patient care
  • Experience across medical and hospital nursing
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for animal welfare
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A team-first mindset with the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Experience with RxWorks (desirable but not essential)
