About the Role

As a Casual Veterinary Nurse, you'll play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians, caring for our patients, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting veterinarians during consultations, procedures, and treatments
  • Surgical preparation and theatre assistance
  • Monitoring anaesthesia and patient recovery
  • Administering medications and treatments
  • Collecting and processing pathology samples
  • Providing nursing care for hospitalised patients
  • Assisting with dental procedures
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control
  • Supporting client education and communication
  • Assisting with general clinic operations and workflow

This is a varied role that will allow you to utilise your nursing skills across medical, surgical, and hospital cases.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)
  • Has previous clinical veterinary nursing experience, ideally 2+ years
  • Is confident with surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring
  • Demonstrates excellent patient care and animal handling skills
  • Has strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Works well independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Is organised, reliable, and proactive
  • Brings a positive attitude and genuine passion for veterinary nursing
