Greencross Vets Joondalup is a rapidly growing clinic, and we're looking for an Experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our amazing team on a full-time basis.

We currently have a close-knit team of 5 Veterinary Nurses, 3 Receptionists/Animal Attendants, and a dedicated group of Veterinarians, all working together to provide exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients.

About the Role

This is a full-time nursing position where you'll be able to utilise your skills across a diverse and rewarding caseload.

Whether your passion lies in surgical nursing, medical nursing, patient care, nurse consulting, or client communication, you'll have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of veterinary nursing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking general nursing duties, including pre- and post-operative care
  • Assisting veterinarians during consultations, treatments, and procedures
  • Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting patient recovery
  • Supporting pathology and diagnostic procedures
  • Medical and hospital nursing
  • Nurse consulting and team-based patient care
  • Assisting with emergency and critical care cases when required
  • Providing exceptional client communication and education
  • Supporting reception and administrative duties where required
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control throughout the clinic

We perform a wide variety of procedures, ranging from routine surgeries through to ophthalmic, soft tissue, and advanced orthopaedic procedures, providing excellent opportunities to continue developing your skills.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate, committed, and eager to continue developing their knowledge and skills within a supportive environment.

You'll bring:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of clinical veterinary nursing experience
  • A strong understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
  • Confidence across both medical and surgical nursing
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior nurses (highly regarded)
  • A positive, team-focused attitude
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with RxWorks (preferred but not essential)
