Part-Time Veterinary Nurse – Greencross Tweed Heads

Greencross Vets Tweed Heads is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our close-knit team on a part-time basis (approximately 28.5 hours per week).

Clinic Hours

Monday–Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday: Closed (yay for Sundays off!) closed public holidays

About the Role

This is a varied and hands-on nursing role where you’ll be involved across all areas of the clinic.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting front-of-house client care and communication
  • Assisting with consultations and team-based patient care
  • IV catheter placement, blood collection, and diagnostic testing
  • Assisting with pathology procedures
  • Surgical and inpatient care, including anaesthetic monitoring
  • Maintaining clinic hygiene and preparing equipment
  • Supporting scheduling and client bookings (RX Works ideal but not essential)
  • Assisting with mentoring and supporting junior nurses and students

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ clinical experience
  • Strong clinical skills across surgical, hospital, and consult nursing
  • Confidence working both independently and within a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A proactive, positive attitude with strong time management
  • A willingness to mentor and support others
  • A good sense of humour and team-first mindset
