Job Description

Experienced Veterinary Nurse (Full Time)

Greencross Vets Nerang | Gold Coast

We’re on the lookout for an experienced vet nurse to join us at Greencross Nerang, someone who’s confident, kind, and keen to be part of a team that actually supports each other.

A bit about us

We’re a well-established clinic on the Gold Coast with a loyal client base and a team that’s proud of the care we provide.

The vibe here is:

  • Friendly and down-to-earth
  • Team-first (no egos)
  • Busy but well supported

We’ve also recently had a clinic upgrade, with more consult rooms, improved treatment areas, and better facilities, so it’s a great time to jump on board.

Why Nerang?

Nerang makes life easy.

You’ve got:

  • Quick access to the M1 and public transport
  • Rivers, parks, and the hinterland close by
  • And you’re only 15–20 minutes from the beach

It’s a great central spot if you want variety — nature one day, coast the next.

What you’ll be doing

Your day might include:

  • Assisting in consults and surgery
  • Monitoring anaesthetics and recovering patients
  • Dental work and radiography
  • Supporting patient care and administering medications
  • Chatting with clients and making them feel at ease
  • Helping keep the day flowing smoothly (and the clinic organised)

No two days are the same and that’s how we like it.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to tick every box, but ideally you’re:

  • Certificate IV qualified with 2+ years of nursing experience
  • Confident and competent in your nursing skills
  • Calm under pressure and organised
  • Good with both pets and people
  • A team player who pulls their weight and backs others up

Most importantly, you enjoy what you do.

Why join us?

  • A team that’s easy to work with and supportive
  • A clinic where you’ll actually use your nursing skills
  • A good mix of busy and structured, not chaotic
  • A genuinely positive workplace culture

Why Greencross

You’ll also get the perks of the wider network:

  • Ongoing training and development (CPD)
  • Mental health and wellbeing support (LifeWorks)
  • Fitness Passport
  • Staff discounts (Petbarn, Royal Canin, Puppy Preschool, discounts on groceries, fuel, retail & more)
  • Opportunities to grow your career if you want to

If you’re an experienced nurse looking for a clinic where the team gets along, the work is solid, and you can just get stuck in and do what you do best — this could be a really good fit.
