Greencross Kedron is a well-established GP clinic that operates as a single business with the AEC Kedron 24/7 animal emergency hospital. It’s a busy, engaging team that thrives on ensuring the patients and clients receive the best possible outcome. The whole hospital approach to support patient’s needs, ensures that GP patients are able to be looked after overnight and provides an opportunity for a high standard of local patient and client care.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Veterinary Nurse to join our Greencross Kedron team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As a Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality veterinary care and exceptional customer service.

The Role:

• Part-time or Full-time hours available
• Assist veterinarians with consultations, surgeries, and medical procedures
• Provide compassionate care and monitoring for hospitalized pets
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Perform diagnostic tests, including blood work and radiography
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage client communications
• Educate pet owners on preventive care and post-treatment instructions
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for pets and staff
• Participate in inventory management and ordering of supplies

Qualifications:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient and client care
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
