Veterinary Nurse (Part-Time) | Greencross Vets Ellenbrook | Perth, WA

Greencross Vets Ellenbrook is looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team on a part-time basis.

We're seeking a nurse with a minimum of 2 years' GP veterinary nursing experience who is confident across surgical, hospital, and reception nursing duties. This role will offer approximately 3-4 shifts per week, with hours varying based on clinic requirements and your availability.

Greencross Ellenbrook is a modern, purpose-built clinic located alongside Petbarn, providing a convenient and seamless experience for our clients and their pets.

About the Role

This is a varied nursing role that will see you working across:

  • Surgical nursing
  • Hospital nursing
  • Reception nursing

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting veterinarians during consultations, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Preparing patients for surgery and assisting in theatre
  • Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting patient recovery
  • Administering medications and treatments
  • Collecting blood samples and performing diagnostic testing
  • Providing exceptional care to hospitalised patients
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Educating clients on preventative health care and treatment plans
  • Managing appointments, admissions, and discharges
  • Answering client enquiries both in person and over the phone
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the clinic

We offer competitive hourly rates, with higher pay available for nurses who hold advanced registration with the Veterinary Practice Board and can demonstrate strong clinical skills and experience.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
  • Has a minimum of 2 years' GP veterinary nursing experience
  • Is confident across surgical, medical, and hospital nursing
  • Has strong anaesthetic monitoring skills
  • Enjoys both nursing and client-facing reception duties
  • Has excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Is organised, reliable, and proactive
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Has experience using RxWorks (desirable)
  • Brings a positive attitude and genuine passion for animal care
