Part-Time Veterinary Nurse – Greencross Bundaberg

Imagine finishing your day and heading straight to the beach, or spending your weekends exploring the southern gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.

Greencross Bundaberg is looking for a part-time Veterinary Nurse (approximately 28.5 hours / 3 days per week) to join our growing team.

About the Clinic

As one of two Greencross clinics in Bundaberg, this is a great opportunity to be part of a well-established and collaborative team, working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment.

Our clinic is co-located with Petbarn and fully equipped with modern facilities, including:

  • Fully equipped surgical suite for routine and complex procedures
  • Dental suite with dental radiography
  • Radiology and ultrasound imaging
  • Dedicated dog, cat, and isolation wards
  • In-house diagnostics with blood machines and pathology equipment

You’ll be working with a team that values collaboration, efficiency, and shared learning, with vets and nurses who actively support one another. Our nurses are all Cert IV qualified or above, creating a capable and knowledgeable team environment.

About the Role

This is a hands-on nursing role with variety across all areas of the clinic.

Key responsibilities include:

  • General nursing duties, including pre- and post-operative care, pathology, and emergency/critical care
  • Assisting with procedures and performing minor procedures where required
  • Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness across the clinic, including surgical areas
  • Supporting patient care and workflow within a team-based environment
  • Managing client enquiries in person, via phone, and email

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2+ years’ clinical experience
  • A calm, friendly, and positive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude
  • Experience with team-based care (highly regarded)
