
Join the VCA West Coast Specialty & Emergency Animal Hospital team! We are looking for a Full-Time Veterinary MRI Technologist This position is for our Diagnostic Imaging Department. We are looking for someone with experience running the MRI modality. Candidates can be either an RVT or a human MRI technologist. Veterinary experience is preferred but not required for those coming from the human field.
Location: 18300 Euclid St., Fountain Valley, CA 92708
Schedule: Full-Time opportunity, 4 x 10-hour shifts, Wednesday - Saturday.
Compensation $35 - $40 per hour, dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities.

Running and learning MRI and CTs on canine and feline patients
Working closely with the main imaging and ultrasound teams
Venipuncture
Catheter placement
Radiology
Anesthesia monitoring
Physical examinations and patient assessment
Surgical preparation and assisting
Laboratory work
Pharmacy
Patient recovery
Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures
Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals
Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals
Assisting our Doctor and Technician staff as needed with patient care
Maintain accurate and complete medical records
Helping clients and doctors during humane euthanasia
Maintain a clean work environment to maintain any infectious disease protocols, handle medical/biomedical and infectious waste appropriately
Maintain inventory and supplies for procedures and patient husbandry.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and common conditions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and experience with handling and administering different drugs and following safety protocols.
A current and valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license is preferred
