Job Description

The Veterinary Marketing Communications Manager role exists to develop and lead the company's comprehensive engagement strategy for the Veterinary community and drive Nutritional Recommendations.

This position is responsible for driving all Trade Marketing communications, owning and improving digital platforms like the Vet Portal, and creating the overarching communication strategy for education amongst Veterinary professionals. A key function of this role is to build and maintain strong industry relationships, including Leadership of future Vet Industry programs.

Ultimately, this Manager serves as the central point for creating, executing, and managing all communications and digital touchpoints targeted at veterinary staff to ensure a strong and valuable partnership that results in increased nutritional recommendations.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting business strategy within a Communications or Marketing function.
  • Experience within the Veterinary, Medical Devices, and/or Pharmaceutical industries is highly preferred.
  • B2B Marketing experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization is considered an asset.
  • Tech-savvy with a continuous improvement (CI) mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Trade Marketing Communications

  • Vet trade media execution & post analysis.
  • Thought Leadership amplification.
  • B2B CRM Establishment & Ownership.
  • Scale SHIFT program Nationally.
  • Maintains awareness of developments within the clinic and competitive environment.

Strategic Owner of Customer platforms (Vet Services, Vet Portal), New technology & Vet industry engagement

  • Owner for continuous improvements on platform or new digital product development.
  • AI future integration.
  • Monthly reporting on Vet Services usage (Automating Q2 2026).
  • Develop Communication strategy for Education in collaboration with Sci-Comm team (Identify audience segments, identify gaps, refresh current programs, determine cadence for ongoing engagement).
  • Leadership of future Vet Industry programs.

Execution of Vet activation & Customer platforms

  • General activation & education (CE event leadership etc.).
  • Consolidate claims and simplify current educational content by audience segment.
  • Vet Services/Vet Portal updates.

Quality

  • Adhere to applicable Quality and Food Safety Policies and Quality Management System requirements to ensure compliance to MARS standards.
  • Demonstrate a quality culture in actions, words, and spirit.
  • Be flexible to accept other duties as needed.
