
The Medicine team at the Centre for Animal Referral and Emergency (CARE) are looking for their next superstar intern!
You will join our team of four specialists, Drs Linda Abraham, Karen Brenner, Laura Lim and Sophie Haynes, along with their dedicated and highly skilled medicine nurses, who are all committed to delivering optimum care and outcomes for every single one of our medicine patients and clients.
CARE is a multidisciplinary hospital on the edge of the CBD in the cosmopolitan suburb of Collingwood. There are three main departments, Medicine, Surgery and Emergency and Critical Care and we like to work as a large collaborative team to get the job done. Our ECC department is open 24/7 which means we have excellent round-the-clock care for our medicine patients.

Candidates must have a recognised Veterinary degree in Australia and be eligible for veterinary registration in Victoria, have excellent communication skills and a strong knowledge base on which to build. Applicants must also be eligible to work in Australia.

The internship is a full-time fixed term position for 12 months. Commencement date is flexible. Candidates with some general practice experience are preferred but exceptional new graduates will also be considered. Whilst it is not a pre-requisite, this position would suit someone considering developing their interest to the extent of specialist training in the discipline, or related disciplines, in the future.
