Hospital Manager - Route 66 Emergency & Critical Care Center

$75,000/year – $85,000/year

Full-time opportunity in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week with a varying schedule to cover shifts across the week as well as occasional weekend days

The Hospital Manager is a key operational and cultural leader within the hospital, responsible for supporting team performance, operational efficiency, and a positive workplace environment. This role partners closely with the Hospital Director and Medical Director to ensure smooth daily operations, a high-performing team, and an exceptional client and patient experience.

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Model and reinforce a culture of respect, accountability, and collaboration
  • Lead with transparency, consistency, and emotional intelligence
  • Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and performance management for team members
  • Address conflict proactively and professionally
  • Encourage and support continuing education and skill advancement
  • Directly oversee front desk operations and team performance
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
  • Work with Technical Training and Development leads to ensure proper staffing levels and effective scheduling practices
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
  • Support implementation of new systems, tools, and operational initiatives
  • Champion a high standard of client service across all departments, and handle and resolve client concerns and escalations
  • Help implement strategies to improve client satisfaction, retention, and experience
  • Contribute to hospital financial health through labor management and scheduling efficiency, inventory oversight and cost awareness, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Partner with the Hospital Director on budget tracking and forecasting, and identifying growth opportunities
  • Support revenue growth through improved operations and client experience
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members, and support ongoing staff development and career pathing
  • Conduct or assist with performance evaluations and development plans
  • Partner closely with the Hospital Director and Medical Director on strategic and operational decisions, and act as a liaison between leadership and support staff
  • Support change management and organizational initiatives
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture

What You Bring

  • Leadership experience with the ability to coach, provide feedback, and manage team performance
  • Experience overseeing hospital or practice operations, including front desk operations and staffing and scheduling practices
  • Financial and operational awareness, including labor management, inventory oversight, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • A strong client service focus, with the ability to handle and resolve client concerns and escalations
  • Strong communication and emotional intelligence, with the ability to address conflict proactively and professionally
  • Comfort leading through change and supporting organizational initiatives
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
