Hospital Administrator – Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Hospital Administrator to help lead the continued growth and success of PSVSE.

The HA is a key member of our leadership team, partnering closely with the Medical Director to oversee hospital operations, team development, financial performance, and the overall client and team experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, building strong relationships, solving problems, and creating an environment where both people and patient care can thrive.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with the Medical Director and leadership team to oversee daily hospital operations and achieve hospital goals.
• Foster a culture built on compassion, inclusion, accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop hospital team members.
• Support DVMs with administrative, HR, performance, and operational needs.
• Monitor financial performance, labor costs, revenue, and other key hospital metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and the experience of our clients and team.
• Oversee scheduling, facilities, equipment, compliance, and other operational needs.
• Handle employee and client concerns with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Build strong relationships with referring veterinarians and represent PSVSE within the local veterinary community.
• Partner with hospital leadership on strategic planning, business development, and continued growth.

What We’re Looking For

• 3- 5 years previous leadership and management experience in veterinary medicine or healthcare required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Management, Communication, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience managing DVMs, physicians, or other professional staff strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of hospital operations and financial performance.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
• A people-focused leader who can balance compassion with accountability.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment.
• A commitment to gold-standard patient care, continuous learning, and supporting the people around you.

$80,000—$90,000 USD
