Job Description

At Animal Hospital of Denison you will find a team of hard-working, dedicated, and friendly professionals. We maintain a collaborative culture that focuses on work-life balance, integrity, personal growth, and professional development. We value input from our employees and actively seek feedback from them. We have a lot of employees that have been with us for a very long time. Our Managing DVM has been here 27 years, our Assistant Office Manager 23 years, and several team members have been here 7-10 years! We often get comments from clients about how hard we work and how we all look like we are having a good time doing it!    We do a lot of dentals and surgeries, including orthopedic procedures. All our appointments are booked for 30 minutes. We do see walk-ins and urgent care visits, but we reserve slots on our appointment scheduler every day so that we can accommodate those appointments without compromising the quality of care. Our facility has 4 exam rooms, a surgical suite, digital X-ray, dental X-ray, an oxygen therapy cage, and an in-house Idexx lab station. Our MDVM does orthopedic surgery and one of our part-time DVMs enjoys dentistry. We are open Monday thru Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm.   Our location is just around the corner from Main Street in historic downtown Denison. It is a small town with rolling hills and wooded spaces, very close to Lake Texoma, and our area is anticipated to see tremendous population growth over the next few years. We would love for you to extern with us!     Most externship experiences at Animal Hospital of Denison range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate in NVA externships.   Veterinary students who are in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
