Job Description

Veterinary Director – Greencross Roseville

Flexible full time or part time (from 30 hours per week) | Upper North Shore, Sydney

Greencross Roseville is seeking an experienced Veterinary Director to lead a well‑established clinic in one of Sydney’s most desirable locations. This is a role for a confident, capable leader who values both clinical standards and sustainable ways of working.

If you’re looking for a leadership position where you can make an impact without sacrificing flexibility, this opportunity offers a rare balance.

A leadership role that works around your life

This role is designed with flexibility in mind. It can be structured from approximately 30 hours per week, making it well suited to experienced leaders who want to continue leading and influencing, while working in a way that fits their lifestyle.

There are no after‑hours or Sunday shifts, and strong referral pathways are in place. The focus is on clear decision‑making, strong leadership, and sustainable workloads.

Premium location with everyday convenience

Located on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, Roseville offers a genuine lifestyle advantage. The clinic is positioned on a train line with easy access to the CBD, surrounded by cafés, green spaces, and a strong local community.

It’s the kind of location that makes both workdays and life outside of work easier.

A clinic built on relationships and trust

This is a clinic where client relationships are long‑standing and meaningful. Care is delivered thoughtfully, with time taken to ensure both patients and owners feel supported.

The team has a strong interest in exotics and small mammals, alongside a solid GP caseload. Clinical capability is well established, with vets confident in ultrasound and comfortable collaborating on cases where needed.

What stands out is the tone of the clinic - calm, considered, and focused on doing things well.

Your role as Veterinary Director

As Veterinary Director, you will:

• Lead and support a dedicated veterinary and nursing team

• Maintain and elevate clinical standards

• Provide clear, experienced leadership across the clinic

• Support a culture of consistency, communication, and accountability

• Strengthen client relationships and continuity of care

This is a role for someone who leads through experience, clarity, and steady direction.

A leadership role with aligned outcomes

In addition to a competitive salary, this position includes a performance‑linked remuneration model, creating a clear connection between your leadership, clinic performance, and financial outcomes. You will have the opportunity to influence how the clinic operates and evolves, with outcomes linked to overall clinic performance.

This is not an equity or ownership arrangement, but an employment‑based incentive structure designed to recognise leadership, accountability, and consistency over time.

Professional support and development

As part of Greencross, you’ll have access to:

• Leadership support from experienced regional and clinical leaders

• Unlimited internal CE and structured development pathways

• One week paid study leave (convertible to annual leave)

• Paid AVA or Vet Board registration and VIN membership

• Heidi Health AI to streamline clinical notes

• Mental health and wellbeing support, including 24/7 counselling

• Staff discounts across Greencross clinics, Petbarn and partner retailers

Who this role suits

• An experienced veterinarian with established leadership capability

• Someone confident in guiding teams and maintaining standards

• A leader who values structure, consistency, and sustainable workload

• A clinician who takes pride in strong client relationships

• Minimum 4+ years’ experience required, with leadership experience preferred

If you’re looking for a leadership role that offers flexibility, influence, and a premium location, we'd love to hear from you.
