Veterinary Director – Greencross Roseville
Flexible full time or part time (from 30 hours per week) | Upper North Shore, Sydney
Greencross Roseville is seeking a Veterinary Director who wants to lead with care, connection, and clinical integrity. This is a small, close‑knit clinic, making it an ideal opportunity for an emerging leader ready to take that next step, or an experienced leader looking for a more balanced, family‑friendly role.
A leadership role that fits real life
We understand that leadership doesn’t have to mean long hours or constant pressure. This role can be structured from approximately 30 hours per week, making it well suited to parents, carers, or anyone seeking flexibility while still having meaningful clinical and leadership impact.
There are no after‑hours or Sunday shifts, with emergency and referral support close by. The focus here is sustainable leadership, not burnout.
What makes Greencross Roseville special
This is a clinic where relationships matter. Team members speak often about the deep connections they build with both clients and patients. Care is unhurried, thoughtful, and genuinely compassionate.
The team is calm and collaborative, with a shared passion for exotics and small mammals, including rabbits, ferrets and wildlife cases. Each vet has the ability to perform ultrasound, creating a clinically strong and confident environment where knowledge is shared rather than siloed.
Recent cases have ranged from complex emergency cardiac cases to wildlife presentations, where teamwork between vets and nurses was critical to delivering calm, supportive care for both patients and owners during emotional moments.
Support extends beyond medicine. Whether it’s a nurse spending time on the phone guiding a grieving client to the right support, or team members ensuring colleagues feel heard and supported, this is a clinic where emotional intelligence is genuinely valued.
Your role as Veterinary Director
As Veterinary Director, you will:
• Lead and mentor a small, dedicated veterinary and nursing team
• Guide clinical standards while nurturing a calm, supportive culture
• Champion evidence‑based medicine delivered with empathy
• Support learning, teaching, and confidence‑building across the team
• Maintain strong client relationships built on trust and continuity
This is not about hierarchy - it’s about quiet, steady leadership in a clinic that already cares deeply.
Professional growth with flexibility
As part of Greencross, you’ll have access to:
• Leadership development and mentoring for emerging leaders
• Unlimited internal CE and external learning opportunities
• Paid study leave, parental leave, and wellbeing support
• VIN, Plumbs, and AVA or Vet Board membership paid
• Heidi Health AI to reduce admin and protect your time
• Confidential counselling and wellness resources
• Retail, health and lifestyle discounts across the network
Location benefits
Roseville offers a wonderful village feel on Sydney’s Upper North Shore - cafés next door, the train station nearby, and easy access to both the city and green spaces. It’s a location that makes balancing work, family and lifestyle genuinely achievable.
Who this role suits
• A vet with leadership aspirations ready to step into a Director role or an experience leader looking for friendly hours
• A compassionate clinician who values teaching and team wellbeing
• Someone drawn to a small clinic where their leadership truly matters
• Minimum 4 years’ post‑graduate experience preferred
If you’d like a confidential conversation about shaping this role around your life, we’d love to hear from you.
