Job Description

At East & West Animal Hospital, we combine the best of Eastern and Western veterinary medicine to provide compassionate, whole-pet care in a collaborative and supportive environment. From urgent care to holistic therapies, our team focuses on treating the root cause of illness while also supporting each patient’s physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

We’re looking for a Veterinary Customer Service Representative who is eager to grow, loves client education, and is passionate about delivering high-quality, personalized client care. Our hours of operation are:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Closed on Sundays

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 2+ years of veterinary receptionist experience preferred.
  • Some previous veterinary assistant experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience utilizing Avimark is a plus, but not required.
  • Coverage of some Saturday shifts are required for this position.
  • Compassionate, calm team player with a positive attitude.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities and strong communication skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent computer proficiency.
  • Self-motivated, with a desire to continuously learn and grow in your role.
  • Ability to handle emotionally charged situations with professionalism and resilience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in difficult or emotional circumstances.
  • Comfortable working in a veterinary environment—must not be squeamish.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $20 - $24/hr. depending on level of experience.
