Avets has a long-standing focus on emergency, trauma, and critical care and is a center of medical research. Our Criticalists take the lead in shaping our emergency and critical care departments’ growth and development and are supported by board-certified specialists in the fields of Avian & Exotics, Anesthesia & Pain Management, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, and Surgery. Our veterinary team cultivates a collaborative culture, supporting one another and readily sharing expertisewhenever questions arise.
Our commitment to education is demonstrated by hospital-wide support of our specialty and rotating internship programs which include protected time for didactic rounds,available to all, as well as digital resources connecting our team to the full range of expertiseoffered by Ethos specialistsAvets has a strong history of training ECC residents, which we aim to reestablish within the next year. Our team of VTS(ECC) training coordinators oversee a comprehensive program designed to equip our support staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care for our patients.
