Job Description

The Virginia Veterinary Center in Short Pump, VA is hiring a full- time Hospital Coordinator to join our outstanding team!

Virginia Veterinary Centers is a multi-specialty referral practice and emergency hospital caring for animals in the greater Richmond area.
This position is on our day shift!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Checks in all specialty drop off appointments, acting as a liaison between the client and specialist and ensuring all client experiences are fluid.
  • Available to ER and Specialty throughout the hospital to coordinate patients’ care.
  • Coordinates all In House Consults.
  • Handles complicated or time-consuming financial conversations with clients, relieving the specialist or his/her team so they can move onto the next patient or procedure.
  • Assist CSRs with in-depth phone calls from clients and PVMs to discuss and answer detailed questions about services.
  • Ensures that clients receive regular financial updates complete with current/updated treatment plans and estimates.
  • Assists DVMs and Specialists with disruptive clients or upset clients, preventing escalation.
  • Audits all current/open invoices for hospitalized patients and outpatients. Audits closed invoices as a KPI, producing management reports monthly.
  • Assist with discharging of ER patients.
  • Reviews estimates with ER clients to improve treatment plan compliance and efficiency in the Emergency Room.
  • Maintains an accurate and up-to-date fee structure book and training materials.
  • Trains new hires with VVC Fee Structure and Invoicing.
  • Participates in department level meetings.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Available to work between the hours of 6:30am-12am
  • 3-5 years Client Service Work History
  • Experience Auditing Medical Records
  • 2-5 years Demonstrated history of handling escalated client concerns
  • 2-5 years Leadership/Trainer Work History

Schedule Details:

  • Day shift, with flexibility in scheduling a plus! Available between 6:30am - 12am.

Compensation:

  • $18 - 22/hr
