
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Veterinary Care Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at our Thorpe Bay Shoebury Road practice on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Located close to the coast, our well-equipped practice offers a lovely working environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about animal care and looking to build their experience within a busy, welcoming practice.
In this role, you will play an important part in the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, supporting our clinical team and helping us maintain high standards of patient care, hygiene, and organisation. Your duties will include assisting with animal handling, keeping clinical and kennel areas clean and well-presented, supporting our veterinary surgeons and nurses, and working closely with our Client Care Assistants to provide a positive experience for both patients and clients.
You will be joining a close-knit and collaborative team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, and 3 Client Care Assistants, all of whom are dedicated to delivering excellent patient and client care.
The role includes participation in a 1 in 4 weekend rota.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A genuine passion for animal welfare and good communication skills are essential.
This is a 12-month fixed-term position offering valuable hands-on experience within a friendly, supportive, and professional team.
