The College of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Medical Center seeksaVeterinary Assistants to join the Small Animal ECC team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to assist in the provision of care to ill and injured animals as well as providing assistance to clinicians, staff and professional students in the days to day operations of the Veterinary Medical Center. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
The successful candidates will be expected to work 40 hours a week, primarily onsecondshift. The position will require working rotating weekends and rotating holidays. This position is subject to a background check prior to starting.
Hiring Range - $18.00 - $20.74 per hour
Physical Requirements:
Standing forlong periodsof time
Pushing/pulling/lifting up to 75 pounds
Exposure to animal dander and/or zoonotic diseases
Exposure to needle sticks, hazardous chemicals, and/orbio hazardouswaste
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Desired Experience:
Minimum of 6 months of veterinary experience
