Job Description

An opportunity has become available to join the team at Greencross Williamstown as an experienced associate veterinarian.

The clinic has an experienced leadership team who are here to support you and to ensure your success. Our vet director has worked in specialty and emergency and is currently undertaking advanced training in small animal medicine. They are willing to mentor in these areas and will also support you in developing your own special interests. Being a multi-vet clinic we have two vets rostered each day allowing you to bounce ideas off, and collaborate with, your colleagues. Additional support is provided by our stable, experienced nursing team.

We host regular meetings to collaborate, support and learn from each other, this ensures every team member feels valued and well supported. We are located close to Greencross Veterinary Hospital and their team of specialists who are available to provide support and advice on complex cases.

Working here you will also enjoy our newly renovated, spacious facilities. The clinic is spread across two floors and on top of a full range of equipment our team also appreciate their dedicated staff room, ample parking and proximity to Williamstown train station. The clinic is only 2 minutes from Williamstown Esplanade and beach – perfect if you need to get something from the shops or want to eat your lunch out of the clinic.

  • A growth-focused environment where your development is our priority
  • A permanent full-time or part-time role with variety
  • Four weeks annual leave and one-week study leave (which can be converted into paid annual leave)
  • Continuing Education programs, free AVA or VIN memberships
  • Mental health first aid officers at each clinic
  • Free and confidential counselling available 24/7 through Telus Health
  • Competitive salary with a multitude of additional perks and benefits!

We want you to live your best life and look forward to coming to work each day, so we offer flexible rostering covering part-time and full-time rostering with options for consulting and/or surgical days. You tell us how you like to work.

Using evidence-based diagnoses, therapies and recommended courses of treatment, you are empowered to offer best practice care with the mentoring and support of our experienced team. We believe collaboration and mentoring between colleagues is essential to success.
