Job Description

A place where great medicine, real teamwork and a good life outside work all come together

At Greencross North Lakes, we show up each day with a shared purpose. We care deeply about the pets we treat, the people who love them, and the team beside us. This is a clinic where relationships matter, where your voice is heard, and where doing great veterinary work feels sustainable and rewarding.

We’re looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join us. Someone who brings curiosity, kindness and a genuine love of small animal practice, and who wants to be part of a team that enjoys coming to work together.

A clinic that feels like a team, not just a workplace

North Lakes is a busy, well-established small animal clinic with a loyal and growing client base. Our days are varied, our caseload is interesting, and our standards of care are high.

What makes us different is how we work together. Our nurses are highly engaged and utilised, our team supports each other without hesitation, and there’s a natural rhythm to the clinic that makes even the busy days feel manageable.

We care for mostly dogs and cats, with the occasional pocket pet adding variety. You’ll be supported to practice good medicine, take the time you need, and build meaningful relationships with your clients.

Why North Lakes

Just north of Brisbane, North Lakes offers the best of both worlds. A vibrant, family-friendly community with everything close by, from lakeside walking tracks to great cafés and shopping at Westfield.

It’s a place where your life outside the clinic is just as important as your time in it.

Who will thrive here

You’ll feel at home with us if you:

  • Value building long-term relationships with clients and their pets
  • Like a steady, interesting caseload that keeps you engaged
  • Bring a calm, thoughtful approach, even when things get busy
  • Are naturally curious and enjoy continuing to grow your clinical skills
  • Appreciate a workplace where humour, respect and teamwork are part of everyday life

What we back you with

At Greencross, we invest in you so you can do your best work and build a career you’re proud of.

  • Flexible working options to support your lifestyle
  • A strong, supportive leadership network at clinic, regional and national level
  • World-class continuing education including workshops, webinars and our annual clinical conference
  • One week paid study leave in addition to annual leave (with the option to convert your study leave to annual leave
  • Scholarships for further education and special interests
  • Heidi AI note taking to reduce admin and free up more time with patients
  • Access to the Animal Referral and Emergency Network for collaboration and case support
  • Mental health support including trained Mental Health Officers, EAP access and wellbeing programs
  • Paid AVA membership or veterinary registration
  • Generous team discounts across Greencross, Petbarn and partner networks

This is a place where your growth is supported, your wellbeing matters, and your contribution is recognised.
