Job Description

Company Description

Join a clinic where good medicine is supported, thorough workups are encouraged, and you have an experienced Veterinary Director beside you.

Greencross Mount Gravatt is a well-established GP clinic with the equipment, team and client base to make everyday practice genuinely rewarding. You’ll see a varied caseload, from preventative care and medical workups to soft-tissue procedures such as foreign body removals and cystotomies, with the time and tools to manage cases properly.

The clinic is equipped with digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound and an in-house laboratory. Our co-location with Petbarn also creates a steady stream of new clients and interesting cases, while AEC Woolloongabba provides after-hours and higher-acuity support.

Why Mount Gravatt?

  • Work alongside a highly experienced and supportive Veterinary Director.
  • Enjoy predictable GP rosters with no on-call or after-hours requirements.
  • Work with an engaged client base that values thorough investigations and quality care.
  • Build variety into your week through consulting, medical workups and surgery.
  • Develop a clinical interest with the support and resources to take it further.
  • Choose from full-time or part-time arrangements.

The clinic is closed on Sundays, and AEC Woolloongabba manages cases outside opening hours.

Support beyond the clinic

As part of Greencross, you’ll have access to benefits designed to make clinical work more sustainable and help you continue progressing:

  • Heidi AI note-taking to reduce administration and support smoother consults
  • Four weeks of annual leave, plus option to convert your continuing education leave to annual leave, which will be five weeks altogether.
  • Paid Parental Leave is 6 weeks full pay (or 12 weeks half pay), with flexible return-to-work programs
  • Lincoln Institute’s Leading Edge for Veterinarians program, a 12-month online leadership course valued at $9,000 and fully funded by us. It is CPD-accredited and covers communication, time management, resilience, leadership and more.
  • An industry-leading internal CE program, including all-inclusive attendance at Australia’s largest annual veterinary clinical conference
  • Scholarship options for Membership examinations
  • Paid AVA membership or annual veterinary registration
  • Discounts across Greencross Vets, the Animal Referral and Emergency Network and Petbarn nationwide
  • Confidential counselling available 24/7 through Telus

About you

You’ll hold a BVSc, DVM or equivalent qualification recognised by the AVBC and be eligible for veterinary registration in Queensland.

You’ll be comfortable managing consultations, routine surgery and medical cases, and enjoy working collaboratively with a team that cares about doing things well.
