Want a clinic where you can do proper workups (not just “treat and street”), with a team that likes sharing ideas and backing each other up when the day gets busy? Kippa-Ring might be your spot.
Set on the Redcliffe Peninsula, it’s a solid Brisbane North clinic with space to breathe, great equipment, and a team that enjoys doing good medicine. Plus, you’re a quick drive from the waterfront when you need a post-shift reset.
The clinic
Spacious layout with a large prep/surgical area and generous consult rooms. You’ll also have dedicated spaces including a separate cat kennel room, isolation, and your own X-ray and ultrasound room.
Diagnostics are a real focus here, with in-house bloods, digital X-ray and a newer ultrasound, so you can work cases up properly and feel confident in your plan.
The team
You’ll be joining a friendly, collaborative crew with a mix of clinical interests across the vet team (including sonography, internal medicine and feline-focused work). Mentoring and training are part of how the clinic runs day-to-day, not something saved for “quiet days”.
You’ll also have strong nursing support across the floor, surgery and reception, which makes a big difference to your workflow and your sanity.
The roster
Many vets work a four-day week with longer shifts, and weekend work is typically balanced with an RDO.
Evening finishes can run later (often around 6:30–7:30pm), so you’ll need to be comfortable with a mix of shifts across the roster.
Location perks
About a 10-minute walk from Kippa-Ring train station with bus connections nearby. And while there isn’t much right next door for a quick coffee run, Redcliffe waterfront is only around 10 minutes’ drive away.
Important heads-up: clinic expansion
The clinic is expanding (moving from 4 consult rooms to 6) and will be closed for about a month mid-March to mid-April due to building works. During that time, you’ll either work from nearby clinics (e.g., North Lakes / Morayfield) or take leave, and we’ll plan this with you well in advance.
What we’re looking for
A Vet Associate who enjoys small animal GP, values teamwork, and is keen to keep building confidence and capability. Experience is welcome, but attitude and coachability matter just as much.
