Job Description

A clinic where care feels personal, teamwork is real, and every day brings something to be proud of

At Greencross Fairfield, we show up for our patients, our clients and each other with warmth, curiosity and a shared love for what we do. This is a clinic where people enjoy coming to work. We laugh together, learn from each other and take pride in the care we give, every single day.

We are a close-knit team who care deeply, not just about outcomes, but about how we get there. The way we support each other matters. The way we connect with our clients matters. And the way we make pets feel safe, understood and cared for matters most of all.

What makes this clinic special

  • A supportive team of vets and nurses who work collaboratively, not in silos
  • A culture where learning is part of everyday life, not something extra
  • Strong nurse utilisation, with a team that is empowered, capable and trusted
  • Special interests are celebrated, from behaviour through to cytology, with space for yours to grow too
  • Co-location with Petbarn, bringing a steady and diverse caseload and strong client relationships

Who will thrive here

  • You are someone who values connection. With your team, your clients and your patients.
  • You enjoy being part of a team where ideas are shared, support is natural and no one feels like they are doing it alone.
  • You take pride in your clinical standards and approach each case with care, thoughtfulness and curiosity.
  • You are confident in your skills but always open to learning more, and you appreciate a workplace where growth is encouraged and supported.

The role

  • Delivering personalised, high-quality care to patients and their people
  • Consulting, diagnosing and treating a wide range of cases
  • Performing routine surgery and contributing to the clinic’s surgical caseload
  • Supporting and guiding a passionate team of vets and nurses
  • Building trusted relationships with clients through clear communication and continuity of care
  • Stepping into sole charge when needed, with the confidence that comes from a strong, supportive team behind you

What we back you with

  • A team that has your back, clinically and personally
  • Flexible working options that support balance and sustainability
  • A strong focus on continuing education, with access to conferences, workshops and further learning
  • Study leave to help you grow in the areas that matter to you
  • Heidi AI note taking to reduce admin and keep your focus on patients
  • Mental health and wellbeing support, including trained Mental Health Officers and 24/7 EAP
  • A connected network across Greencross, ARH and Petbarn, opening doors to collaboration and career pathways
