Job Description

At Greencross Butler, care has a steady rhythm.

It is in the way the nurses notice the details, the way the team keeps each other moving through the day, and the way clients are welcomed back with the trust that comes from feeling known.

We are looking for an Associate Veterinarian who wants to join a warm, close-knit clinic where good medicine, kind communication and team pride sit at the centre of every day.

Curious what it feels like inside the clinic? Hear from Michael, Veterinarian, and Kat, Vet Nurse, and take a quick look around in our clinic video.

The heart of Butler

At Butler, you will work alongside a supportive vet and a team of four qualified veterinary nurses who bring skill, warmth and calm to the day.

Our nurses are hands-on, observant and deeply patient-focused. They help the consults flow, advocate for pets, support great client care and make the clinic feel steady even when the day gets busy.

This is a place for a vet who values teamwork, clear communication and thoughtful medicine.

What makes this clinic different

Greencross Butler is modern, purpose-built and grounded in the local community. We see a varied caseload, including emergency presentations, and we have Heidi AI note-taking to help reduce admin so you can spend more time where it counts.

You will have room to keep growing, ask questions, share ideas and build confidence with support around you. Good medicine matters here, and so does having good days together.

What your role will feel like

As an Associate Veterinarian, you will:

  • Deliver thoughtful, high-quality veterinary care across consults, diagnostics and procedures
  • Partner with a skilled nurse team who help keep the day moving well
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and their pets
  • Contribute to a clinic culture where people feel safe, supported and proud of their work

Life in Butler

Butler gives you breathing space outside work without taking you away from convenience.

You are around 2 km from the beach, 12 minutes from Mindarie Marina, close to beachfront dining, shops, coffee, schools and childcare, and within walking distance of the train station. Perth CBD is around a 34-minute drive away, with Joondalup and Yanchep National Park also within easy reach.

What we back you with

You will be supported by the broader Greencross network, including:

  • Flexible working options to suit your life outside the clinic
  • World-class CE and development, including the Greencross Clinical Conference, workshops, webinars and external training
  • 1 week paid study leave in addition to four weeks annual leave
  • Paid AVA membership or annual veterinary registration
  • Heidi AI note-taking to reduce admin load
  • Mental health support, including trained Mental Health Officers, training available to all team members and 24/7 EAP
  • Discounts across Greencross Vets, AEC and Petbarn
  • Relocation support and visa sponsorship support where relevant

Who will thrive here

You will feel at home at Butler if you are a vet who enjoys being part of a close team, values kind communication and takes pride in doing the small things well.

You do not need to be the loudest person in the room. You do need to care about patients, clients and teammates, and bring a steady, open approach to your work.
