Job Description

Company Description

This is a clinic where people stay, clients trust us, and the work feels meaningful

Greencross Vets Browns Plains is busy in the best way. We’re well known in the local community, our clients want to do right by their pets, and our team takes real pride in providing thoughtful, thorough care without cutting corners.

We’re looking for an experienced veterinarian to join us in a permanent position, with the flexibility to work full-time or part-time.

The role

You’ll join us as a senior clinician, managing your own cases with autonomy while working alongside a team that collaborates naturally and supports one another when the day gets hectic.

The caseload includes a varied mix of consultations and surgery, with opportunities to work through cases properly and continue developing your clinical skills.

What it feels like to work at Browns Plains

  • We’re established and trusted, and our clients value clear plans and thorough care
  • The caseload is varied, so your weeks don’t blur into the same consultations on repeat
  • We see a mix of routine consultations, surgery and cases that keep you thinking
  • The team is stable, kind and quietly high-performing, with good banter and no ego
  • You’ll have autonomy, but you’ll never be isolated. There’s always someone available to talk through a case

Who this role will suit

You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Bring calm energy when the day is full
  • Enjoy both medicine and surgery and like working cases up properly
  • Communicate with empathy and clarity, particularly when clients are facing difficult decisions
  • Value a culture where people can ask questions, learn and feel supported
  • Enjoy contributing to a collaborative, team-first environment

We are a busy clinic with invested clients. That’s part of what makes the work rewarding, and good communication and teamwork help us keep the day running smoothly.

What we’ll support you with

  • A competitive salary package aligned with your experience and responsibilities
  • 12% superannuation in addition to your base salary
  • Four weeks of annual leave, with the option to convert continuing education leave into additional annual leave
  • Six weeks of paid parental leave at full pay, or 12 weeks at half pay, with flexible return-to-work options
  • An industry-leading internal continuing education program
  • All-inclusive attendance at our annual veterinary clinical conference
  • Scholarship opportunities for Membership examinations
  • Paid AVA membership or annual veterinary registration
  • Access to the Lincoln Institute’s Leading Edge for Veterinarians, a fully funded 12-month leadership program valued at $9,000, if leadership is part of your career goals
  • Ongoing support from our Regional Clinical Director and experienced Veterinary Directors across the region
  • Discounts across Greencross Vets, the Animal Referral and Emergency Network and Petbarn
