Located in rural Greene County, Pennsylvania, Waynesburg Animal Hospital is a well-known and respected three-doctor practice committed to providing high-quality, compassionate medical and surgical care. We’re looking for a caring, energetic Veterinary Assistant / Kennel Attendant who enjoys working with animals and the people who love them—and who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed.

From caring for hospitalized pets and supporting our veterinary team to keeping the hospital clean, stocked, comfortable, and welcoming, you’ll play an important role in helping each day run smoothly. What You’ll Do

• Provide attentive daily care for animal patients throughout the hospital
• Feed, water, exercise, and monitor pets as needed and appropriate
• Clean and maintain cages, kennels, and litter boxes
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable, odor-free kennel environment
• Assist veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and front desk team members in an organized and efficient manner
• Learn about post-operative patient care and monitoring
• Keep hospital areas stocked with necessary animal-care supplies
• Complete laundry and keep sink and bathroom areas clean and tidy
• Complete end-of-day cleaning tasks throughout the hospital
• Help keep the hospital grounds clean and assist with flowers and hospital décor
• Interact with clients in a kind, compassionate, and professional manner
• Jump in wherever needed to help keep daily hospital operations running smoothly
