Veterinary Assistant

Insight Veterinary Wellness Center | El Dorado Hills, CA

Full-time | Primary Care

Are you a skilled VA who thrives in an primary care setting? Join our team at Insight Veterinary Wellness Center, a hybrid hospital providing both Emergency and Primary Care services. We’re looking for a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to support our patients, clients, and clinical team.

Schedule

  • 4x10s Monday-Saturday (flexible)

Key Responsibilities

  • Room patients and collect medical histories
  • Provide routine patient care and administer vaccines
  • Assist with treatments, diagnostics, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Perform blood draws, run in-house laboratory work, and place IV catheters
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Support a variable caseload depending on season
  • Assist with scheduling, client check-in/out, answering phones, and other duties as assigned

About You

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant required
  • Experience in a small animal practice
  • Compassionate communicator with strong client service skills
  • Team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $23-$27 per hour

  • Team: 8 DVMs, 6 RVTs, 29 Support staff
  • Facilities: 2 ORs, dental suite, radiology, ultrasound, PRP, Cellfie, in-house lab, Ligasure & cautery
  • A hybrid hospital with both Emergency and Primary Care services
  • Access to visiting specialists and one of the few community blood banks in California
