What Our Veterinary Assistants Do

  • Assist with exams, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Safely handle and restrain patients using Fear Free techniques
  • Help provide compassionate, attentive care to feline and canine patients
  • Maintain clean, organized exam and treatment areas
  • Document patient care accurately
  • Assist with client communication
  • Provide front desk support as needed
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and fellow support team members to keep the hospital running smoothly

What Our Veterinary Assistants Bring

  • Veterinary experience is preferred, but training will be provided
  • Washington State Medical Clerk License or willingness to obtain one, with training and reimbursement available
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Reliability and strong attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask in a busy veterinary environment
  • Comfort working with cats and dogs of all sizes
  • The ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • A compassionate approach to patient care
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
