East Hartford Animal Clinic is a high-volume, fast-paced small animal general practice dedicated to providing exceptional care for dogs and cats. What You’ll Do

  • Assist veterinarians with routine wellness exams, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
  • Administer core and lifestyle vaccines according to patient age, medical history, and risk factors
  • Educate clients about flea, tick, and heartworm prevention options and protocols
  • Prepare, calculate, and administer medications under veterinarian direction
  • Perform blood draws and collect samples for laboratory testing
  • Discuss treatment plans, diagnostics, preventive care, and wellness recommendations with clients
  • Advocate for patients by helping ensure they receive appropriate preventive and medical care
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient medical records
  • Follow established hospital protocols and safety procedures
  • Communicate patient information clearly with veterinarians and other members of the medical team
  • Support other areas of the hospital as needed, including procedures and inventory
  • Help maintain an organized, efficient, and compassionate patient-care environment

What You’ll Bring

  • Solid understanding of preventive veterinary care and commonly used medications
  • Confidence with vaccine protocols, parasite prevention, and medication preparation
  • Strong client-education and communication skills
  • Ability to explain veterinary recommendations clearly and compassionately
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
  • Passion for patient advocacy and exceptional client service
  • Proactive, dependable, and collaborative approach to your work
  • Experience in a small animal general practice setting preferred
  • Familiarity with veterinary practice-management software such as Cornerstone preferred
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus, but not required
