Position Details

Role: Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician Status: Full-time Salary: Negotiable and based on experience and credentials Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3-4 days a week, 7:15 am - 6 pm. Rotating Saturdays, 8 am - 1 pm. Experience: Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience required Credentials: Licensed veterinary technicians and experienced veterinary assistants are encouraged to apply

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team of compassionate professionals. What You’ll Do

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures.
  • Provide compassionate, attentive nursing care for patients throughout their visits.
  • Safely handle and restrain patients using low-stress techniques.
  • Obtain thorough patient histories and record vital signs accurately.
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Perform venipuncture, sample collection, and IV catheter placement based on experience.
  • Assist with radiographs, laboratory testing, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
  • Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition to the veterinarian.
  • Educate clients about medications, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
  • Keep treatment and examination areas clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Collaborate with teammates to maintain an efficient and positive hospital workflow.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician.
  • A genuine passion for pets and high-quality veterinary care.
  • Strong animal-handling and patient-care skills.
  • Clear, compassionate communication with clients and teammates.
  • The ability to remain organized and calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, collaborative, and team-first attitude.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Confidence supporting examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
  • An understanding of anesthesia is a plus.
