Position Details

• Role: Experienced Veterinary Assistant
• Status: Full-time
• Salary: Starting at $18 - $20 per hour, and is based on experience
• Schedule: Flexible 4-day work week with rotating Saturday shifts. No nights, on-call shifts, or holiday hours.

Mt. Spokane Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our fantastic team! Our Veterinary Assistants play an important role in supporting our doctors and technicians while helping ensure our patients receive excellent care and our clients receive outstanding service. What Our Veterinary Assistants Bring

• At least 1-2 years of Veterinary Assistant experience
• A passion for animal care and client service

What You’ll Do

Our Veterinary Assistants help keep the hospital running smoothly while supporting our patients, clients, and medical team.

• Greet clients and patients and gather medical history information
• Assist doctors and technicians during appointments and procedures
• Monitor hospitalized patients
• Perform basic laboratory tasks
• Assist with pharmacy duties and medication preparation
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Support the team by anticipating needs and helping keep appointments running efficiently
• Provide compassionate care to every patient who walks through our doors
