At Island Trees Veterinary Hospital offers an experienced veterinary team that is dedicated to providing exceptional care for our beloved patients. We are currently looking for a Veterinary Assistant who is a passionate pet loverand wants to make a difference in the lives of our patients If you are devoted to offering this type of care, we look forwarding to hearing from you.
Qualifications
Experience as a veterinary assistant
Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures Being able to handle timid or stressed patients
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Client communication and education
Available to work Friday and Saturday shifts
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and patient care
Safely handle and restrain animals; husbandry, cleaning, laundry, providing patient care as directed by the veterinarian.
Handling lab samples and preparing for currier pick up.
Medical charting, maintainingaccurate patient records
Cross train as a client service representative.
Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment
Able to lift 50lbs without assistance
Pay range Up to $23.00 based on experience
