We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team of dedicated veterinary professionals at our fast-paced multi-doctor practice located in Long Beach. Our practice provides high-quality care to our patients in a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Location: 3080 Woodruff Ave, Suite B, Long Beach, CA 90808
Salary: $17.00 - $27.50 based on skill level and experience
Schedule: Full-Time, closing shift with rotating Saturdays
Why We Need You
As a member of our team, your mission will be to support our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Anesthetic monitoring
Dentistry skills
Venipuncture
Catheter placement
Cystocentesis
Physical examinations and patient assessment
Preparing the surgical suite
Patient recovery
Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
Giving injections and vaccinations
Performing nail trims, anal gland expressions, and ear cleaning
Filling prescriptions
Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets
Maintaining medical records.
Maintaining a clean and well-organized treatment area
Requirements
1-2 years of clinical experience
High school diploma required
