VCA Aventura Animal Hospital & Pet Resort, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team full-time! We are a busy, supportive, and collaborative hospital that thrives on delivering the highest standard of patient care.

Schedule: Full-time (35–40 hours/week) with rotating weekends.

Compensation: $15.00 - $23.00 /hr based on skill set and experience.

Responsibilities Include: Our Veterinary Assistants support our veterinarians and technicians in all aspects of animal care by restraining our patients during physical exams, treatments, and procedures. They are an advocate of our patients to ensure they receive the proper care in a safe and comfortable manner.

• Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures

• Safely restraining animals for exams and treatments

• Taking vital signs and collecting patient histories

• Administering medications (under supervision)

• Cleaning and maintaining exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment

• Providing compassionate care and support to clients and patients

• Maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with inventory

• Supporting the hospital team in daily operations and patient flow

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary, animal care, or pet boarding environment preferred

• Comfortable with animal handling and restraint

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A positive attitude and a desire to grow within the veterinary field

• High school diploma or equivalent
