Position Details

  • Role: Veterinary Assistant
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: $18.50 – $20.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Four-day workweek with rotating Saturdays

What You'll Bring

  • Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care environment (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Veterinary Medication Clerk’s License
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence in multitasking in a fast-paced setting
  • Willingness to work weekends (Saturdays only—on a rotating schedule)
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a big heart for pets and people

What You’ll Do

  • Greeting pets and their humans with warmth and professionalism
  • Assisting veterinarians and licensed techs with exams, treatments, and surgeries
  • Preparing and maintaining clean surgical and treatment areas
  • Helping with radiographs, lab samples, and pharmacy duties
  • Educating clients on post-visit care and medications
  • Keeping records accurate, detailed, and up-to-date
  • Pitching in with hospital cleanliness and day-to-day operations
