Veterinarian - Surgeon

Department: Veterinarians

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee

Reporting To: Jeff Phillips, DVM, MSPVM, PH.D, DACVIM

Compensation: $200,000 - $250,000 / year


We are seeking a board certified or residency trained Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee!

Both full-time and part-time Veterinary Surgeon candidates will be considered.

  • $200k-$250k base salary (negotiable) + production

Our ideal candidate:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
  • Board-certified or residency trained in veterinary surgery.
  • Passionate about practicing outstanding medicine but also working as a cohesive team
  • Strong communicator who models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients

  • A team of board-certified surgeons and specialists that practice collaborative medicine between all departments to provide patient's comprehensive care
    • Seven board-certified specialists, including surgeons, oncologists, internists, a criticalist, and an anesthesiologist, along with highly trained emergency veterinarians and veterinary interns.
  • The latest specialized surgery and diagnostic instrumentation and equipment including 16-slice CT scanner, Vivid iQ echocardiogram platform, digital radiology, ultrasound systems, fluoroscopy unity, endoscopy, high-def Storz tower with new laparoscopic equipment, Arthrex equipment, LigaSure, Autocon III, Storz Ho-YAG laser, Synthes locking plates, and ESF equipment.
  • Intensive Care Unit that is staffed 24 hours a day so that your patient is carefully monitored post-operatively
  • Over 20 highly trained Licensed Veterinary Technicians
  • Cure for Cats Thyroid Treatment Center
  • Diverse and exciting surgery caseload
