Animal Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and caring leader to join our team as a Medical Director (DVM/VMD) in Crozet, Virginia This role offers the perfect blend of high-quality medicine, a family culture, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on pets and their families.

As a Medical Director, You Will

• Support our clinicians in the personal development of medical and administrative needs
• Leading the staff and practice by growing the team, holding meetings, conducting annual reviews, developing and monitoring compliance protocols
• Partnering with your Regional Operations manager to ensure compliance with regulations, assist in the preparation of annual planning strategy, and develop a vision for the growth of the practice
• Partnering with hospital leadership to lead the team, ensuring a culture of quality medicine and financial success for the clinic

At Animal Wellness Center, we combine traditional veterinary medicine and surgery with integrative, holistic care to provide exceptional service for dogs, cats, birds, and exotic pets. Our modern, eco-conscious facility is fully equipped with

• Digital radiography
• In-house laboratory and pharmacy

Qualifications & Competencies

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
• Ideally, 5+ years of practice experience
• Positive and effective leadership
• Ability to manage staff and outcomes with emotional intelligence
• Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
• Delegation of tasks and achieving results with practice team members
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
