Veterinarian – Cochrane Animal Clinic

Cochrane Animal Clinic is seeking a compassionate and motivated Mixed or Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join our collaborative and growing team in Cochrane, Alberta. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established practice with a supportive culture, experienced mentorship, strong RVT support, and a diverse caseload that allows veterinarians to continue developing their skills and clinical interests. Experience and interest in surgery would be considered a valuable asset for this position.

Located just minutes west of Calgary and at the doorstep of the Rocky Mountains, Cochrane offers the perfect balance of small-town charm and outdoor adventure. Our newly renovated hospital is equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, a complete in-house laboratory, and a modern surgical suite. We see a wide variety of cases including cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, and farm animals, providing an exciting and rewarding caseload. While there is some mixed animal exposure available, the majority of the caseload is small animal, and small animal only candidates are absolutely welcome.

Whether your interests include surgery, preventative medicine, dentistry, diagnostics, or client education, our team encourages continued learning and professional growth.

What You’ll Do

Provide high-quality medical care to companion animal and/or mixed animal patients

Perform routine surgeries and diagnostic workups

Build strong relationships with clients through compassionate communication and education

Collaborate closely with a team of experienced veterinarians and support staff

Contribute to a positive and team-focused hospital culture

Participate in ongoing learning and professional development opportunities
