
Job Responsibilities
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned ships thereby taking necessary actions and decisions to maintain asset value of the ships, statutory compliance, budget management and timely technical assistance to ensure seamless flow of business operations.
2. Provide guidance and solutions on technical issues for optimal performance of ships thereby meeting the service requirements in a cost efficient manner.
3. Plan, coordinate and implement major repairs, dry-dockings and vessel retrofit upgrades.
4. Make accurate budgeting and managing ships within the approved budget.
5. Coordinate with procurement and contracts department to ensure timely supply of spare parts and consumables to ships.
6. Ensure ships are managed in compliance with all Flag state, Classification society and Port State requirements.
Job Requirements
1. Experience in Dual Fuel (DF) Vessel management, new build vessel deliveries and has sailed as an Engineer on ships with DF propulsion systems.
2. Minimum 10 years relevant vessel manager / superintendent experience with global liner firm, apart of Technical Superintendent.
3. Experience as Chief Engineer onboard ocean-going vessels / Class 1 CoC Master Mariner with prior sailing as Master
4. Digital fluency skills - IT knowledge of Microsoft tools (excel, word, powerpoint)
5. Good communication skills - written and spoken.
6. Knowledge of Planned Maintenance Systems, technical, procurement and logistics processes
7. Growth and learning attitude
8. Strong leadership and people management skills
