Shape the future of Vertical Transportation at Hollis

We’re growing our Vertical Transportation team and need an experienced VT Engineer to join our existing team.

This role will help increase our VT capability across London and the South East. You’ll work with , support major clients and help grow a service with increasing demand and reputation.

At Hollis Working with our Building Surveying, M&E Engineering, Project Management and Technical Due Diligence teams we provide our clients with the specialist services for all their property services. This includes our VT team providing independent expertise across lift and escalator design, project management, technical due diligence, maintenance monitoring, feasibility studies and asset performance advice across diverse commercial and residential sectors.

What you'll be doing:

· Delivering specialist VT inspections and reporting

· Advising on acquisitions, disposals and technical due diligence

· Managing VT refurbishment and replacement projects from inception to completion

· Advising on asset management, maintenance strategies and lifecycle planning

· Reviewing designs, specifications and contractor proposals

· Witness testing and overseeing commissioning

· Collaborating with Engineering, Project Management, Building Surveying and Technical Due Diligence teams

About you

We’re looking for someone with strong technical expertise, commercial awareness and a commitment to excellent client service.

You'll ideally have:

· NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Lift Engineering, or equivalent recognised qualification.

· At least five years’ experience within the lift or vertical transportation industry

· Knowledge of lift modernisation, replacement and maintenance strategies

· Knowledge of relevant legislation, British Standards and industry guidance requirements

· Ability to assess equipment condition, maintenance standards, workmanship and compliance.

· Strong communication and client-facing skills

· The ability to work safely and independently within lift and Escalator environments.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively
