Job Description

As our new Vertical Integration and Footprint Specialist, you will join our global Team within the O&S organization, which also encompasses Portfolio Management Office, CAPEX Portfolio Management, and Operations Analytics.

O&S Strategy supports VELUX’s global value chain consisting of approximately 8.000 employees in Production Companies, Logistics or QHSE&E. We are responsible for driving the organization’s growth and profitability by identifying opportunities that enhance performance, efficiency, and market positioning. It is also crucial to build relationships and drive projects in collaboration with other Functions (e.g., Finance and Commercial) as well as other O&S Global departments (e.g., Procurement, Technical Services or Supply Engineering & Product Introduction).

The team’s core purpose is to guide and lead the transformation of O&S ensuring alignment with long-term objectives. Collaborate across functions to ensure robust supply chain performance and cost efficiency. The main responsibilities within the team are to develop and execute strategies related to business continuity methodology and contributing to enterprise risk management, vertical integration enhancing operational transparency, capacity planning, and footprint optimization.

As our new Vertical Integration & Footprint Specialist, you will support O&S Management and cross-functional teams to identify, analyze and solve complex business challenges and opportunities. You will specifically contribute to the success of O&S by supporting the facilitation of strategy development and deployment, guiding and collaborating with the functional areas to deliver on the strategy, monitoring and tracking the overall delivery of the strategy.

In this role, your core tasks will be:

  • Develop and deploy business continuity and risk management frameworks, collaborate with Sites on risk mapping updates and improvements
  • Support capacity management initiatives, including utilization analysis, equipment lifecycle planning, and dashboard development (e.g., OEE, asset aging)
  • Co-develop the global strategy and methodologies for footprint network
  • Foster a culture of strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement
  • Build strong cross-functional and cross-geographical relationships
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor to executive leadership
  • Define priorities, track key metrics, highlight roadblocks and network changes for periodic Management reviews

Since this is a role covering global supply projects and the team is international, you should expect up to 20 days of international travel per year to other VELUX locations.

An exceptional stakeholder manager who can build and maintain strong relationships across the organization, ensuring needs and expectations are met while aligning with the O&S strategic direction.

In this role, we expect an ideal candidate to bring:

  • Some experience either from management consulting, an in-house strategy team in a larger company, or as a project manager delivering strategic transformation projects.
  • Experience in a global production and supply chain environment would be an advantage.
  • A well-developed toolbox for problem-solving, disaggregation of complex tasks into clear roadmaps, stakeholder management, and strategy communication.
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • A willingness to learn and take more responsibility to own focus areas with time
  • A holistic business perspective with an innovative, challenge-the-status-quo mindset
  • Proficiency in speaking and writing English at a professional level.

Analytical skills able to handle complex data structures and generate strategic outputs.
