Snapscale is seeking an Intermediate Verification of Benefits/Insurance Verification Specialist to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in validating patient insurance benefits, ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims, and providing exceptional support to both patients and healthcare providers. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of insurance processes and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough verification of patient insurance benefits for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers regarding their insurance information.
• Process and document insurance verifications in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
• Resolve discrepancies in insurance information and follow up on outstanding verifications.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a seamless workflow and timely claim submissions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and procedures to assist with inquiries.
• Provide training and support to junior staff members as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance verification or a related field.
• Strong understanding of medical billing and coding practices.
• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and verification software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and providers.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
