
As a Software DeveloperSpecialistyou'llplay a critical role in building and scaling Nasdaq's big data pipeline infrastructure to support business-critical insights. You will design, implement, andoptimizedata lake solutions that power global markets.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, andoptimizeenterprise-scale data pipelines using Apache Spark,Iceberg,Databricks,and AWS services to ensure accuracy, consistency, and performance across terabyte-scale datasets
Participate in architectingscalable solutions for extracting, transforming, and loading structured and unstructured data using modern data lake patterns
Partner with analytics teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions from raw data to consumable data marts
Monitor data pipeline performance and implement improvements that support scalability.
Mentor team members and conduct code reviews tomaintainengineering excellence.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience withbigdatacloud-based technologies
Solidunderstanding ofAWS
Experiencebuilding projectswithDatabricksandIcebergisa requirement for this role
Working knowledge of Python and Java with experience in ETL workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership experience or strong mentoring background withdemonstratedability to guide architectural decisions.
Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Familiarity with cloud security architecture.
Experience with modern BI tools and semantic layer technologies.
Prior experience supporting production-grade systems in cloud environments.
This position willbelocatedinSt.John’sorTorontoand offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $96,000 - $132,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
