We are hiring a Venture Studio Manager for our med-tech focused venture studio is a hub dedicated to fostering innovation and driving startup success in Baltimore. We aim to establish Baltimore as a national leader in technology startups by providing extensive support to local entrepreneurs, particularly those from historically underrepresented communities. The Role: As the Venture Studio Manager, you will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient and successful execution of all programs within our studio. This includes supporting startup programming, facilitating deal origination, and implementing key strategies for venture investment and analysis. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of launching new programs and investment initiatives aimed at transforming Baltimore's innovation landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the progress of investment opportunities, identify priorities, and ensure timely execution.
• Conduct in-depth market research to support investment decisions and understand industry trends.
• Manage due diligence processes, including the review of financial and legal documentation.
• Develop comprehensive investment proposals and recommendations.
• Monitor and manage the performance of existing investment portfolios with ongoing analysis and reporting.
• Design and enhance programming to meet the needs of portfolio companies and founders.
• Build networks within the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, attend relevant events, and promote our studio's programs.
• Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, business partners, and community leaders.

What We’re Looking For:

• A master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in Biotech/Medtech.
• Proven experience in technology startups, venture capital, or similar environments.
• Excellent financial and statistical analytics skills; proficiency in Excel for financial modeling is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to drive our mission forward.
• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
